Which Todo Apps Have an MCP Server? (Checked October 2026)
Updated 15 October 2026
Short answer: Todoist, TickTick, Notion, Asana and TODO all run their own official MCP servers, so Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can read and change your tasks after you sign in. Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Things 3 and Apple Reminders had no official server that we could find; people use community servers that run on their own computer.
- An official server means the app maker runs it, keeps it working and handles sign-in.
- A community server is someone else's code, usually needing an API token or a Mac.
- These change quickly. Each vendor's own page, linked below, is the source to trust.

What Differs Between the Official Servers
What the assistant can reach. Todoist covers tasks and projects. TickTick's help page lists tasks and adds habits. Notion and Asana reach whole workspaces, which is powerful if your tasks already live there and a lot to set up if they don't.
Who it's built for. Asana and Notion are team tools. Todoist and TickTick are personal task apps with paid tiers. TODO is a personal daily, weekly and list planner where the MCP connection comes with the free account.
Doing the work, not just listing it. TODO's server is written for assistants that carry tasks out: it tells them to read notes and attachments first, to ask you when steps, people or deadlines are missing, and to log what they did back onto the task. See the full tool list.
If Your App Has No Official Server
You can run a community MCP server, but you'll usually paste a long-lived token into a config file or keep a Mac switched on. If you'd rather not, moving your active tasks to an app with an official server is often less work than maintaining one.
Try TODO with Your Assistant
Sign up free, copy your connection URL from the MCP page, and add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex. It takes about two minutes.
